Niteroi, the hospitable city

With paradisiacal beaches and a welcoming people, Niteroi is sailing's source in the country. The first nautical club in Brazil was founded in the city that is located just 13km far from Rio de Janeiro. The only brazilian city founded by an indian, the "teminimó" Araribóia, Niteroi concentrates the biggest number of fortresses in Latin America and is the second city in the world that owns the greatest number of buildings by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer.
